MarbleTrail Privacy Policy

Effective September 16, 2026

MarbleTrail is a local, interactive marble-racing game. Race generation, photo-edge analysis, settings and recordings remain on your device. MarbleTrail does not require an account and Civaren does not operate gameplay analytics or a gameplay cloud service. The app includes a persistent Unity Ads banner, described below.

Advertising

MarbleTrail uses the Unity Ads SDK to request and display contextual (non-personalized) banner ads. The app sends explicit opt-out and non-behavioral signals before the SDK initializes and does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission. Unity may process technical advertising data needed to deliver, secure, measure and diagnose ads, including IP address, device and app identifiers, coarse location inferred from IP, ad interactions, app/session activity and diagnostics. Unity acts under its own privacy terms and provides a privacy-choice control with displayed ads.

MarbleTrail does not send your camera frames, chosen photos, race recordings, precise location, street labels, competitor choices or gameplay content to Unity. The advertising SDK is not enabled to personalize ads across other companies' apps or websites by MarbleTrail.

Camera and photos

Live Cam places a dim camera view behind the race and derives temporary obstacle edges on the device. Camera frames are not sent to Civaren or another service. A frame is retained only if you deliberately incorporate it into a race or record/share gameplay that visibly contains it. The photo picker exposes only images you choose; selected images are processed locally into race visuals and obstacles.

Optional location

If you enable nearby street names, MarbleTrail requests foreground location and uses Apple's local system services to obtain a nearby public street or locality label. Precise coordinates and location history are not stored by MarbleTrail or sent to Civaren. You can deny or revoke this permission and continue playing.

Recordings and saved races

When auto-save is enabled, MarbleTrail keeps the configured number of recent gameplay recordings inside the app's private storage. The default is five. You can reduce the limit or turn auto-save off in Settings. Export and Share hand only the recording you choose to Apple's Files picker or share sheet. The selected destination then applies its own privacy terms.

Retention and deletion

Children, third-party content and changes

MarbleTrail is configured as a general-audience app and is not directed primarily to children. Built-in competitor packs use Civaren-created, public-domain, factual or appropriately licensed imagery and audio; this release does not include third-party character franchises or user-uploaded public content. We will update this policy before adding accounts, analytics, purchases, cloud processing, personalized advertising or materially different data handling.
